The Moray Model Railway Group
The Moray Model railway Group was founded in 1983 to cater for all those who have an interest in
railways and model railways.
The group meet every Wednesday evening at the Blacks Barn, Sheriffston Farm, just off the A96
between
Elgin and Lhanbryde
at 6.30pm
Just come along and you will be made most welcome and you will be able to see one of the groups many layout and talk the fellow railway modellers.
The group owns and has a selection of layout at its disposal, a number of which have been displayed at various shows around the country, including the Warley National Railway Exhibition held at the N.E.C. Birmingham and the Model Railway exhibtion at the S.E.C.C. Glasgow.
The group also has a high profile within the Scottish model railway scene and has been an active member
of the Association of Model Railways Societies of Scotland (AMRSS) since 1990.
As well as building model railways, the Group has an active social side, which includes visits to various venues around the country, organised talks and demostrations on all aspects of railway modelling. Also as a member of the group you will have access to an extensive library of railway books and expertise. |
